1. Online contact form and use of VVO customer guarantees
The online contact form is used for establishing contact with our service staff for the purpose of redeeming VVO customer guarantees or for you to inform us of your concerns, such as questions, complaints or praise. If you use one of the provided links, you will be directed to our customer contact system "ELMA". "ELMA" is a database software that enables us to manage requests electronically. The VVO passes on the notified warranty claim to the transport company for further processing. In this way, the transport company which suffered the damage can access this database. For this purpose, the transport company only accesses personal data to the extent and for the duration necessary to process your warranty claim. To conclude the warranty claim, the transport company which suffered the damage contacts the customer directly. The personal data will be deleted one year after the completion of the VVO process. They will not be passed on to any third party.
This service may be used fully only after providing your name, as well as your postal and email addresses. The data will be stored for a maximum of one year for the processing of the warranty claim or until your request has been fully responded to. You can enquire at Datenschutz@vvo-online.de at any time to find out which of your personal data we have stored and to request the premature deletion of your data at the same address. As a result, your warranty claim may not be finalised and you may not receive compensation or a response to your request.
2. Use of “Praise & Criticism” feature and the “BLOG”
The indication of email addresses under “Praise & Criticism” as well as in the Comment feature in the VVO blog: http://blog.vvo-online.de is not mandatory. It makes sense to enter your email address in the “Praise & Criticism” section if you would like to receive our response. Your data will not be processed further. We also save the configuration when comments are submitted under “Praise & Criticism”. The IP address, browser and operating system of your computer are stored in detail so that we can recognise manipulated comments and respond to them, if necessary. This information will be stored for 1 year after submission of the comment and will not be processed further. If you would like a personal reply to your email address, please let us know using the online contact form. The data protection regulations for the online contact form and use of VVO customer guarantees apply.
3. Subscription bonus portal
For passengers who have purchased a subscription monthly pass or a job ticket from a transport company in the VVO, we offer varying competitions and discounts in the subscription bonus portal all the year round. Participation allowed for those who are 18 years old and above.
Promotions may be used in the subscription bonus portal only after entering your name, mail address, subscription number, date of birth and email address. This information is used to notify you of any win and to deliver it to you. The data will be stored for this purpose for up to a maximum of one year.
You can enquire at Datenschutz@vvo-online.de at any time to find out which of your personal data we have stored and to request the premature deletion of your data at the same address. Your participation will be void if the promotion for which you have provided your details has not been completed at that time.
4. Ordering and shipping
You can order brochures containing fare information, route maps, as well as flyers on leisure activities or service information, and can purchase VVO timetable leaflets for a fee at the VVO Shop, by email, at the VVO InfoMobile or by telephone. To do this, you must provide your name, as well as your postal and email addresses (not compulsory for telephone orders). This information is necessary to deliver the ordered items to you. The data will be stored only for this purpose and up to a maximum of one year.
You can enquire at Datenschutz@vvo-online.de at any time to find out which of your personal data we have stored and to request the premature deletion of your data at the same address. Your order will not be delivered if the ordering process for which you have entered your data has not been completed at this time.
Supplement: For the purchase of chargeable items
The purchase of chargeable items is made exclusively on account. The invoice data is subject to the statutory time limits for storage.
5. VVO mobile website / VVO mobile app
The www.vvo-mobil.de mobile website and the VVO mobile app offer our service on the go. You can find timetable information using mobile devices. No personal data will be stored for this purpose. For the location feature (information on the stop closest to the detected location), the location data are collected once only for the current queries and will not be stored for the time thereafter. It is possible to use the information without determining the location at any time.
Supplement: Ticket purchase on the mobile website or the app
You can buy tickets on the VVO mobile website, as well as via the VVO mobile app. You will be redirected to HandyTicket Germany. The purchase is possible only by signing up at HandyTicket Germany. 9. Online tools
9.1 Group registration (online tool)
We offer passengers who are travelling in large groups (above 20 persons) the option of registering their trip. Registration takes place in cooperation with the transport companies in the VVO via an online form. The form may be used by entering the title, first name, surname, name of the organisation, street address, postal code, region, telephone number, email address, as well as the number of travellers (adults, children). In addition, the desired connection (trip), as well as an optional alternative connection, must be specified. The storage of this data is necessary for the VVO to be able to register a trip by a large group with the transport company concerned. For this purpose, we transfer the aforementioned data to the transport company, which may contact the person registering in the event of a change or query. The VVO stores the personal data mentioned until the end of the trip. Thereafter, we reserve the right to store the travel data for statistical purposes. This data will be stored until your revocation. You may revoke your consent at any time by writing to Datenschutz@vvo-online.de Revocation before the start of the trip does not allow you to register it.
9.2 Combo ticket cooperation request (online tool)
We offer promoters who are organising a trade fair, congress or conference the opportunity to submit a request for a combo ticket cooperation. The request is made via an online form. The form can be used by stating the name, type of event (congress, conference, trade fair, concert, sports or other event), beginning and end of the event, address of the venue, and expected visitors. In addition, the VVO requires the company name, contact person, street name, postal code, city/district, telephone number and an email address to submit a price offer.
In the case of a cooperation, your data will be stored for the conclusion of the contract within the framework of legal requirements. If there is no cooperation, the data will be deleted. You may revoke your consent at any time by writing to Datenschutz@vvo-online.de. Revocation before the end of the cooperation means that no offer for a combo ticket cooperation can be sent to you or that no cooperation is established.
